Grosvenor Leasing, a contract hire and fleet management specialist, has announced a shift and a new brand to address the evolving needs of businesses with vehicle fleets.
The company said it is responding to a growing demand for sustainable, flexible, and technology-driven transportation solutions, driven by environmental concerns and changing work patterns.
Research by Grosvenor highlighted a preference for technology that enhances, rather than replaces, traditional customer service. It also found that customers and drivers still value personal interaction and prefer not to rely solely on apps for fleet management.
This insight has influenced the company’s rebranding to reflect an expanded portfolio of fleet funding and management solutions.
Grosvenor managing director Lee Brown said: “The move to EVs, the importance of ESG [environmental, social and governance], well-being and CSR [corporate social responsibility] are all driving change, with AI also set to transform our lives. Younger and more tech-savvy drivers are poised to drive change and are far more environmentally aware than previous generations.
“As a result, we are readying ourselves for a future where flexible app-based, sustainable travel solutions will be used alongside, or even instead of, traditional company cars and grey fleet. However, our research confirmed our longstanding belief that we need to continue to uphold our values, by working with integrity, excellence and agility, plus prioritise the personal touch by offering even greater access to our staff and management in a market increasingly focused on digitisation.”
With more than 20,000 vehicles, Grosvenor said it has observed a trend towards outsourced fleet management.
This shift, the company explained, is due to the decline in dedicated fleet managers, with roles such as HR and operations taking on these responsibilities.
It added that the increasing complexity of fleet management, driven by health and safety, ESG considerations, and zero emissions targets, has also contributed to this trend.
Furthermore, the shift to hybrid working has altered driving habits and younger drivers are increasingly focused on zero-emission motoring and climate change.
Grosvenor claims that it is well-positioned to meet these demands, leveraging its strong proposition, workforce, reputation, and client base.
The company’s new strategy aims to enhance system and app experiences, focusing on automation, market-leading functionality, and seamless integration of products and services. This will allow staff to prioritise customer interaction.
Additionally, the company plans to expand services to meet future market needs, exploring options such as mobility as a service (MaaS), car sharing, and e-bikes.
